Jazz shoes or lyrical shoes should be worn for progressions, while clean, bare feet are required for contemporary and acro unless otherwise specified by the instructor.

** For all classes hair must be pulled up off the shoulders and secured for the duration of class. Please talk to your athlete about proper hygiene habits, they work hard in the studio! **
IAM requires students to be in the appropriate attire for each class. This policy supports safe and effective training, as well as keeps our dancers up to industry standard attire for dance classes. Students who are without appropriate attire may be asked to sit out or leave class, we believe that holding our students to this standard helps them become more prepared and self sufficient. Please let us know if your dancer does not have access to the proper attire, we can help!
At IAM, we believe very firmly in each students unique journey in training. We will not move a student up a level, or hold them in their current level unless it will positively impact their training pathway in the professional opinion of our IAM instructors. IAM is focused on each student individually, we will not move a student based on the progress of another, and we will very rarely move students mid session, reassignment of levels typically only happens in September and January. If you feel your dancer is not in the right class for any reason, please contact our owner, Leah, at leah@contactiam.com. We can work together on a plan to achieve the goal of changing levels.
Please visit our Dance Studio Pro parent portal where you can enter student information, sign up for classes, access your statement, and more!
